Formation of the hand

The heaviness or thinness of the bones determines the kind of hand. On the basis of that our hands are divided into 7 categories.

Primary hand

These kinds of hands are not that much good looking & generally they are ugly. The fingers & the formation of these kinds of hands are irregular & uneven. Though they educate themselves literally but lack the basic ingredients of culture. They mostly tend to copy things a lot & their main aim of life is to earn a food, clothes & house. Other than these they are ignorant & reluctant about the values of life & ideal.

They are generally labourious in nature & get annoyed & distressed about the small issues of life. They don’t think too much while breaking a rules & laws & often end up being criminals.

Square hand

Physically they might look a bit similar to the primary hand but if we notice thoroughly then we will find out the difference between these two. These kinds of hands contain several knots in them. Bones are somewhat unsymmetrical but prominent. The fingers are supple, thinner & less coarse which makes them mainly different from the primary hand.

These people are more likely to be intellectuals. They have the ability to lead others & an example for the generations to come. For them money is not that very important but they gain enough respect, reputation & fame. Generally they become artists, psychologists, philosophers & painters.

Workman’s hand

In this type of hands we see the width is more in proportion than the length. They comprise of hard muscular mounts in the palm which are suppressed & heavy.

They are active in nature & they never sit idle. They make most use of the time that they have by doing something or the other. Generally it is seen that they take birth in ordinary families but just because of their hard work & efforts they become able to make a secured & high position & also achieve total success. They always maintain proper balance of emotions, thoughts & energy in their work.

Philosopher’s hand

They maintain a proper harmony of practicality & sentiments & work in accordance to that. They are mostly born with a nature of doing & initiating something new. They are mainly very learned & very useful to the society. Their natural leadership often enhances the society & glorifies the country. They are true believers in the ideals of life. They are great thinkers & gain good respect in life but also they remain very open in acquiring & increasing their knowledge which in turn they use for the good of others.

Artist’s hand

These hands are very good to look at & they can be easily recognized by looking at their fingers which are generally thin, long & well formed. These hands are slightly pink in colour & their remains equal proportion between the joints of the bones. They are generally lovers of beauty & art. They look at everything from the artistic point of view & they are very thoughtful and appreciate any art form. Also it is often found that they spend most of their wealth in artistic pursuit.

Most of the time they remain deeply involved in emotions & for such reasons they often fail to succeed. They are highly known as lovers but in most cases they tend to remain devoid of love & become solitary. They don’t get the sufficient amount of love that they give to someone. Sometimes they often stay in a financial anxiety.

But sometimes it is found that if the suppleness in any artist hand is not so much & rather they are stiffer then they can acquire good amount of wealth & fame with the help of art.

Ideal hand

This is considered to be the best kind of hand due to its well formation, softness & suppleness accompanied with a shape which is neither too long nor too short. At times people with these hands face obstacles but they never get deviated from their focus of life by seeing those struggles. They maintain a steady movement in their path & never lose hope though at times they get ignored. They can get the clear picture of their future in advance. They never leave a work incomplete & live on ideals. Their social life remains unsuccessful but they contribute a lot to the society. But their end becomes a misery & troublesome.

Mixed hand

This one being the last one & as the name describes that it is a mixed hand which contains almost mixed & good features of the other hands. This hand can not be categorized in any of the other 6 categories.

Name of the fingers in the hand & thumb

Thumb

The thumb is formed with two pieces of bones & comprises of two phalanges.

Index finger

This is the first finger next to the thumb which comprises of three phalanges.

Middle finger or the finger of Saturn

This is the visible as the longest finger in the hand. In special cases it is seen that the index finger & the finger of Saturn is of equal length, in those cases the person either commits suicide or faces an unusual death.

Ring finger or the finger of Apollo

It is the third finger from the thumb & generally of the same length as that of the index finger. If this finger is found to be leaning towards the finger of Saturn then it is considered to be excellent but if it is just the opposite then the person will suffer from unhappy family life.

Little finger or the finger of Mercury

This is mostly smallest in size but if anyone is having a little finger which is unusually long then it is considered that the person is fortunate enough to reach high position with his efforts.

Lines in the palm

There are innumerable lines on our palm; some of them are not even visible to the naked eye properly. But every single line is useful whether it is a big or small line, thick or thin line it is having its importance in its own way. These lines determine the speed of our life force. Generally the clear & deep long lines give an indication of success; whereas thin & broken lines show have partial effect in the force of life of an individual. Thus the distinct lines have a direct impact in the life force of a person. It is required for a palmist to study every single line from both the hands because even the tiniest line can also speak about any future incident & the exact time of its happening.

In every hand we have 7 main lines & 12 secondary lines. The names of the main lines are

These lines are mainly of four kinds. Before studying the lines it is required to know about these four kinds of lines
Thick line
These lines are wide enough to be distinct & deep & they are also visible in low light.
Thin line
These lines are known to be very effective, though they are thin but still they are distinct.
Deep lines
These lines are generally thin but they are deep & it seems that they penetrate into the flesh of the palm.
Sloping lines
These lines are found to be thick from where they commence but they get thinner as they ensue.
